Dating sterling silver
1728 Sold A rare little antique sterling silver pepperette of plain design and having reed borders.
The top has a bayonet fitting and has two panels of pretty piercing with hand engraving. The lid has a bayonet fitting and is pierced with concentric rings of little holes.
No codified rule was followed by the makers in the marking of their electroplated pieces.
This makes difficult the research of information for inexperienced people.
